Digestive Issues:

  • Ginger tea – drink a cup of ginger tea after meals to aid digestion and reduce inflammation.

  • Triphala – a combination of three fruits (amla, haritaki, bibhitaki) that can help promote regular bowel movements.

  • Fennel seeds – chew on a teaspoon of fennel seeds after meals to reduce gas and bloating.

Insomnia:

  • Warm milk with honey – drink a cup of warm milk with a teaspoon of honey before bedtime to promote relaxation.

  • Ashwagandha – an adaptogenic herb that can help reduce stress and improve sleep.

  • Lavender oil – diffuse lavender essential oil in your bedroom or add a few drops to a warm bath before bed to promote relaxation.

Cold and flu:

  • Turmeric milk – drink a cup of warm milk with a teaspoon of turmeric to reduce inflammation and boost immunity.

  • Tulsi tea – drink a cup of tulsi (holy basil) tea to reduce fever and congestion.

  • Eucalyptus oil – add a few drops of eucalyptus essential oil to a diffuser or vaporizer to ease congestion and promote breathing.

Headache:

  • Peppermint oil – apply a few drops of peppermint essential oil to your temples or inhale it to reduce headache pain.

  • Rosemary oil – add a few drops of rosemary essential oil to a warm compress and apply it to your forehead to ease tension headaches.

  • Yoga and meditation – practice yoga and meditation regularly to reduce stress and tension that can trigger headaches.

It's important to note that while Ayurvedic remedies can be effective, they should not be used as a substitute for medical treatment. If you have a serious health issue, it's important to consult with a qualified healthcare professional.
